Privacy Policy

The short version

Pokey doesn't track you, doesn't collect analytics, and doesn't sell your data. It sits on your screen, moves a hand cursor around, and minds its own business.

What Pokey accesses

  • Your screen — to render the cursor overlay. Nothing is recorded or transmitted.
  • Mouse position — to follow your cursor. Processed locally, never stored.
  • Keyboard input — to detect the hotkey toggle. No keystrokes are logged.

Pokey does not access your microphone, camera, location, contacts, calendar, or any other system data.

Network activity

Pokey makes two types of network requests:

  • License validation — when you activate your license, the key and your device hostname are sent to Polar's API to confirm the purchase. Polar's privacy policy applies to this transaction.
  • Update checks — the app may check for updates. This may include your macOS version and the app version.

No personal data, usage patterns, or behavioral data are transmitted.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Polar. We don't handle or store your card details. See Polar's privacy policy for how payment data is managed.

Your data

There is no data to delete. Pokey stores only your preferences locally via macOS UserDefaults. Uninstalling the app removes everything.
